We’re passionate about helping working parents and businesses succeed together.

Meet Mary

Mary Seid is the founder of Hera. She’s spent her career in marketing and communications, primarily agency-side, but recently in a consulting role. While she’s loved her jobs, her favorite part of work always centered around helping others….helping clients identify and achieve their goals, helping team members learn and grow and mentoring younger colleagues. Personally, she has two children and while she was never diagnosed after her first, she certainly dealt with anxiety as part of pregnancy and postpartum. As someone who lives with anxiety regardless, this shouldn’t have come as a surprise. And yet, she still didn’t recognize the signs. After having her second during the height of Covid, it was not surprising when Mary developed postpartum anxiety again. This time she really had to prioritize her health, take a look at her daily life and make some changes. It took time, a lot of support and individual work. Now it’s her turn to help – to share what she learned and help other moms feel less alone, to provide tools, resources and perspective. Life can be stressful and hectic – but it doesn’t have to be.

Meet Brooke

Brooke Martin is an entrepreneur, attorney and co-founder of Madison Oak Preschool. Her career started in a private law practice, but took a different path in order to create a healthier work/life balance and lifestyle for her family. Brooke opened Madison Oak Preschool 10 years ago and serves as the School Manager and Administrator. In this role, Brooke has watched countless families struggle to balance work and family obligations. She has also employed dozens of mothers and has experienced the challenges of being an employer in today’s working-mom culture. She knows first-hand that the current model is a lose-lose situation: families are struggling and employers are losing money. Brooke is excited for the opportunity to bring a solution to the table and support both working parents and businesses.
